First Vicinity Community Grants welcomed

FIVE of Bankstown’s most deserving community groups (pictured) have been awarded Vicinity Community Grants to help deliver their essential programs.

Bankstown Central Centre Manager Eddie Paynter said that the inaugural Vicinity Community Grants has been a huge success and “we’re proud that we could provide much needed assistance to Bankstown groups doing great things for our community”.
Humanity Matters was awarded a grant to deliver its Pathway to Independence program to help young people get into the hospitality industry; Chester Hill Neighbourhood Centre Inc received funding for its Kitchen Garden Program to assist migrant and refugee women; Koorana Child and Family Services was awarded a grant to assist with its Inclusive Education, An Equal Opportunity for All program; Creaking Links NSW was also successful and was awarded funding for its Life Skill Building Program; and the Recreation and Sports Clubs Inc was awarded a grant for its Outings for People with Disability and their Carers.
