Angela Huang, Mileha Constantine, Mia Princip and Sophie Grerr (pictured), all hailing from Bankstown, were sadly defeated in the last doubles set but CBTA’s Roger Pitt said it was a huge achievement considering 17 metropolitan tennis associations were competing.
“Sophie might be the smallest but is definitely a player to watch out for,” Pitt said.
“I haven’t seen anyone with her ability in 50 years and we know she will go far.
“We are very proud of all of our girls and thank you to our sponsors Mina and Tony Favotto of McDonalds Padstow for their continuing support and for presenting the girls with vouchers after making the finals.”

FOR the first time, Canterbury Bankstown Tennis Association (CBTA) U14s have reached the grand final of the Metropolitan Interdistrict Tennis Championships 2023, narrowly missing out on scoring the Irene Matthews Cup.
