Historic match for Anzac Day

SYDNEY Olympic team captains William Angel and Natasha Aitken get in some practice ahead of the first historic Anzac Day Double Header clash at Belmore Sports Ground on Thursday.

An Anzac Day ceremony will be held prior to the Mens 1st grade kick-off against Apia – in a 2018 grand final replay – with the game to get underway at 4.45pm. Sydney Olympic Womens will go up against Manly United at 6.45pm.

Olympic CEO John Boulous said: “It’s important, as a Club and football community, we remember all Australians who served and died in war.

“We encourage everyone to come along, enjoy a great football event, as well as help us commemorate this special day on our country’s calendar. Free entry for all current and ex-servicemen and women.”
