Starting their careers at Old Guildford Public, the teachers have been described as ‘extra special’ by Principal Helen Morgani.
“They were both in the Targeted Graduate program because of their high calibre, with the NSW Department of Education permanently appointing them to our school,” Mrs Morgani said.
“One said she initially felt like a ‘Kindergarten’ student herself in big school for the first time but our other teachers gave them some great advice such as taking time everyday to dedicate to themselves, prioritising – since teachers always have never ending to-do lists and not being afraid to make mistakes.
“We are very happy to welcome them both to our school.”
First day jitters for new teachers too
IT wasn’t just first day of school nerves for Old Guildford Public School’s kindergarten students but also for newly minted teachers Ms Lama Hammoud and Ms Chloe Moon.
