Auburn Youth Centre (AYC) held its first community dinner since the lockdown last month and is inviting residents to feast and be merry at its last dinner for the year on Friday, December 9, 5.30-8pm.
Organiser Jasmin Forrest says it’s the perfect opportunity for community members, of all ages and cultures, to re-connect with others with a bit of mental health education thrown in.
“We will be celebrating how far we have come since Covid and what the future looks like with workshops and a guest speaker,” she said.
“AYC has a great chef who will prepare a beautiful multicultural feast in our onsite kitchen for everyone to enjoy and then at the end, we will hand out info packs about where to obtain local support services.
“Everyone should come along; it’s a wonderful opportunity to create connections and make new friends.”
It’s free but bookings are essential at eventbrite.com.au.
