When firefighters arrived about 2pm they found thick black smoke issuing from the rear of the home, with the fire threatening a neighbouring property.
All residents have been evacuated from the home.
NSW Police and NSW Ambulance are also on scene. Traffic in the area is impacted with Quigg St closed as emergency services continue to render the area safe.
