Patience said it was important for people to have flexible options for further study while working.
“I wanted a program that offered flexible study options and one of the drawcards was being able to start the program immediately,” she said.
“The University has provided opportunities for me to develop practical skills that can be applied in the workforce, as well as social networking opportunities that will be valuable throughout my life.”
Patience is studying online, while she continues to work and live in the Northern Territory.
“It has been eye opening learning about culture and diversity in healthcare settings and the health system,” she said.
“It has improved my interaction with clients and co-workers in my current job, giving me the skills I need to advance to a Support Coordinator role.”
