Find amputated finger on parked car

POLICE are investigating how an amputated finger ended up on the windscreen of a parked car in Riverwood.

Paramedics were called to a unit on Ventura Avenue, Narwee, after reports a person had part of their finger amputated, early last Wednesday morning.
When Campsie police arrived at the unit and were speaking with the occupant, a man fled over the balcony.
They searched the area but were unable to locate the man.
About 7.30am, police were called to Washington Avenue, Riverwood, after part of a finger was located on the windscreen of a parked vehicle by the owner.
Following inquiries, investigators located blood on the front door of a unit on Kentucky Road and after police forced entry to the premises about 11am, a man was located inside, missing part of his finger.
The 26-year-old man was treated by paramedics and taken to hospital for further treatment.
A third crime scene was established at the unit and each was forensically examined.
