Fight to end developer push

INDEPENDENT candidate for East Hills, Chris Brogan has led a rally about two of the “raging issues” at Milperra.

More than 100 locals gathered at the gates of Riverlands in Prescott Parade to voice opposition to over-development in their suburb, with Mirvac planning to build hundreds of homes as part a “masterplanned community” on the former Riverlands Golf Course in Milperra, and at the Western Sydney University (WSU) campus.
Residents said they were angry about the impact duplexes were already having on parking and through traffic, and now the two new estates have added to their frustration.
“Our right to determine development in our community is being trampled on by outside interests,” Mr Brogan said.
“They all threaten our way of life.”
Mr Brogan has been talking with the community about the need to protect Riverlands as Green Space for more than a decade.
