Female officers breaking barriers with girls

AUBURN police have been breaking down barriers with a new program encouraging young female students to engage with local female police officers.

The aim of ‘Lunch with a Cop’ was to build rapport and improve communication between students and police and, most importantly, have the students know that there are local female police that will assist them with any sensitive matters.
A group of students from Auburn Girls’ High School (pictured) attended the first gathering at Auburn Youth Centre where they enjoyed a light meal and many interesting conversations.
