Fashion Show, Market to celebrate harmony

CELEBRATING Harmony Day and International Women’s Day, Canterbury City Community Centre (4cs) will host a Fashion Show and Market at the Uniting Hall, corner of The Boulevard and Haldon Street, Lakemba, on Saturday, March 4, 10am-6pm.

The parade of men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, will feature imported garments and support the efforts of local women’s micro fashion businesses.
Hoping to also host international fashion designer Amalina Aman, who is based in Lakemba, 4cs Manager Kate Maclean said the multicultural fashion event would feature delicious food stalls, henna tattoos and female stallholders selling a range of items from around the globe including jewellery, accessories, bags, artworks, second hand treasures and more
“You are sure to find a bargain,” she said.
“There will also be chances to win lucky door prizes.”
The perfect place to enjoy a special day with other women and the family, the Uniting Hall is only a five-minute walk from Lakemba Station.
