With the aim of supporting the circular economy through its sustainable clothing model, Dress for Success Sydney (DFSS) is best known for its transformative styling service which supports vulnerable women on their journey towards finding employment.
Surplus or unsuitable donations are repurposed through 12 annual fundraising fashion sales – Fashion Frenzy – with the first to be held in Canterbury Bankstown at Revesby Workers’ Club this weekend, September 23 and 24.
Residents can uncover an Aladdin’s Cave of pre-loved (and new!) fashion, at just $5 an item. Experience guilt-free, sustainable shopping at its finest, knowing that every purchase directly empowers vulnerable women on their journey towards financial independence.
You’ll find contemporary and vintage accessories and clothing (sizes 6 to 40), with the last shopping session a clearance sale – you never know what treasures you’ll find.
Due to the size of the venue and stock volume, this is a ‘grab and go’ sale (no change rooms) and BYO shopping bags.
DFSS Chair, Amanda Webb said Dress for Success Sydney was emerging as a favoured destination for clothing donations.
“In a world where the fashion industry ranks among the largest polluters, the shift towards sustainable fashion is both a necessity and a growing trend among Australians,” she said.
“We are excited to bring this sale to a new audience in Canterbury Bankstown.”
