Comprising a range of delicious options, the Melbourne Cup Luncheon includes Entrees such as Salt & Pepper Squid wild rocket & orange reduction; Freshly Shucked Spring Bay Half Shell Scallops steamed with ginger, shallots & soy sauce; Tempura Zucchini Flowers ricotta, spinach & balsamic glaze; Buffalo Mozzarella Salad with heirloom tomato, basil, pine nuts & balsamic olive oil; Prawn Salad with quinoa, baby beetroot, mixed cress & seafood sauce; and Grass Fed Beef Carpaccio with parsnip puree, confit tomato, gherkins & cabernet sauvignon vinegar.
Mains include Pan Grilled Tasmanian Salmon with potatoes, cauliflower, pickled raisins & baharat; Slow Roasted Lamb Shoulder with oven baked potatoes, carrots & onions au jus; Oven Baked Chicken Supreme with sweet potato mash, green beans & paprika; Battered Sand Whiting Fillets with salad greens, chips & tartar sauce; and Homemade Thyme & Potato Gnocchi confit with mix mushrooms, pearl onions, parmesan & truffle oil.
Desserts include Honeycomb & Marshmallow Ice-cream Sandwich with raspberry coulis; Vanilla Poached Pear with frangipane & mascarpone; and Chocolate Gateau with cherry ice cream.
This amazing three-course feast costs just $55 (including GST) a person.
Their famous A La Carte menu will also be available on the day.
The hours stretch harmoniously from 12pm straight through till 11pm allowing for Lugarno’s famous late lunches and dinners as you gaze at the body of water named after Lake ‘Lugano’ in Switzerland.
Open for lunch on Christmas Day as well as New Year’s Eve, Lugarno also offers set menus for Christmas parties but early bookings are advised.
