About 1.30pm on Monday, June 3, police were travelling west on Milperra Road at Milperra when they saw a white utility with false number plates.
They said the driver did not stop when directed to do so and a low-speed pursuit began and travelled through several suburbs.
It is alleged that during the pursuit, three police vehicles and a parked car were hit by the utility in separate collisions. There were no reports of injury.
The car was eventually stopped outside Fairfield Hospital where the driver was arrested.
The 25–year-old Fairfield Heights man has been charged with not stopping a vehicle when directed to do so – police pursuit, police pursuit not stop – drive dangerously, drive manner dangerous, using an offensive weapon to avoid apprehension, negligent driving, using a Class A vehicle with unauthorised registration plates, using an unregistered vehicle, licence expired less than two years before first offence, destroy or damage property.
Unregistered firearm inside coat
A YAGOONA man has been charged with possessing an unregistered firearm-pistol. Police were called to East Terrace in Bankstown at 10pm on Saturday, June 1, where they searched the man allegedly locating a replica pistol in his jacket.
Charge over child porn material
POLICE have charged a man with two counts of possessing child porn material and failing to comply with reporting obligations.
The 23-year-old from Bankstown was refused bail to appear on June 19.
Man, 36, struck bus with bollard
A MAN, 36, from Moorebank, has been charged after he allegedly armed himself with a bollard and began striking a bus on Milperra Rd, Milperra, last Tuesday evening.
Fled, hit officer over parking fine
A MAN from Bankstown has been charged with striking a police officer with his vehicle and several other traffic matters.
About 3.45pm on Wednesday, May 9, police were conducting duties on Beamish Street as part of Operation Towards Zero.
Officers observed a Mazda parked and unattended in a bus zone, and approached the vehicle to issue a parking infringement.
Three people entered the vehicle, with a man sitting in the driver’s seat.
As police approached to speak to the driver through the open windows, he drove away onto Beamish Street.
Officers instructed the driver to stop, but he continued to drive north in heavy traffic.
The officers ran after the vehicle following as it turned into Amy Street, and instructed the driver to stop.
It is alleged the Mazda continued to move forward and repeatedly drove into the officer at low speed.
The officer was not injured during the incident.
At 10.30pm on Thursday, May 30, police arrested the man at a home in Griffiths Avenue, Bankstown.
He was charged with assault police, drive manner dangerous, disobey lawful direction by police officer, use mobile phone while driving and not give way at pedestrian crossing.
