Fall in love with soccer after MiniRoos class

DOZENS of children have been learning the basics of soccer for the last couple of week after the latest MiniRoos Kick-Off program got underway at Auburn Centre for Community.

The ideal entry into the sport, the program runs on Saturdays from 9.30-10.30am for four to six-year-olds and 10.30-11.30am for seven to nine-year-olds, with Term 3 registrations opening soon.
Designed for boys and girls, MiniRoos Kick-Off aims to introduce and engage kids in Australia’s most widely played team sport.
By keeping active and making friends in a safe, inclusive and fun environment, it creates lots of opportunities for both participants, looking for a soft-entry point into the game, and also clubs who are interested in increasing capacity and welcoming new faces into their club
Sessions focus on teaching kids fundamental football skills through a range of fun activities and games under the guidance of Football Australia participation officers.
“It is ideal for children to get a taste of soccer early to help build their love for the game,” Football Australia’s Michael Massih said.
“Playing a team sport is great for a child’s development and confidence which will help them on and off the field.”
All new participants will receive their very own Participant Pack including a MiniRoos football, backpack and certificate as well as some other goodies from Football Australia partners.
