Excited to unleash at barking best

HOPING to continue the fairytale after their win in the pre-season trial match, Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs take on Newcastle Knights in their season opener on Saturday night.
With Kyle Flanagan, Corey Allan, Nick Cotric, Jack Hetherington and Corey Waddell all making their first appearance in a Bulldogs jersey in the pre-season match against Cronulla Sharks, it took time for them to gel together which they did magnificently and overcame a 12-0 halftime deficit to snatch the win.

The win gives new coach Trent Barrett plenty of hope for the future.
“The players have been working pretty hard from day dot,” he said.
“Corey Allan, for example, is getting better and better every week.
“All the blokes we’ve brought in have fitted in really well and not just on the field but off the filed as well.
“The players look really fit after training really hard and everyone’s happy which is a good sign.”
Speaking about their pre-season trial win, Barrett added: “I was pleased with the way we hung in and won the game.”
Bulldogs new Chief Executive Aaron Warburton said it’s an exciting time for the Bulldogs.
“A new coach and new recruits will bring exciting opportunities for this great Club and it’s a privilege to be part of this evolution,” he said.
“With the season just around the corner I can’t wait to start. I’ll be doing everything I can to ensure success for the Bulldogs in 2021 and beyond.”
