Every HSC student wins place at Uni or in a trade

A “PROUD, dynamic learning community”, Kingsgrove High School has a rich history of achieving exceptional student outcomes and cultivating strong academic growth.

Principal Olga Sofo said the evidence was in the “fantastic HSC results achieved each year, with the highest ATAR achieved in 2023 being 94.25, and six students appeared on the HSC Distinguished Achievers List, with 80 obtaining excellent results in band 5 or 6”.
She said every student met their goal of transitioning to tertiary education or further study, and excited HSC graduates entered their first-choice courses in a wide range of subjects, including Medical Science, Web Design, Accounting, Commerce, Engineering, Cybersecurity, Nursing and Physiotherapy as well as apprenticeships in Plumbing, Carpentry and Electrical studies.
Kingsgrove High is characterised by a commitment to develop students who have a love of learning, value the cultural diversity of the school community and have a strong belief that all students can succeed at school.
“At Kingsgrove High School we prepare our students for a successful future by providing them, from Years 7-12, with a quality education in a broad range of subjects,” Ms Sofo said.
“We cater for the interests and needs of boys and girls of all levels of ability, and from varied cultural and language backgrounds.
“Success is driven through diverse curriculum supported by extensive wellbeing and learning programs. Student voice and achievement is nurtured and celebrated through student leadership programs, sport and a diverse range of extra-curricular opportunities.”
Strong relationships with partner primary schools through the STAR program, ensure a smooth transition to high school in a welcoming and inclusive manner.
“We are very excited about the new boundary changes and the opportunity to welcome students from additional primary schools to join us at Kingsgrove High School,” Ms Sofo said.
