Hosted by the Sydney LEGO Users Group (Sydlug) and Nervio, a neurological and spinal disorder charity, the fundraising show will feature displays of LEGO, play tables and raffles with prizes including NRL Bulldogs merchandise, LEGO packs and more.
With school groups and members of the public of all ages invited to attend, Nervio’s Cristian Sepulveda said the LEGO Brick Show aimed to combine fun with the opportunity to raise awareness of neurological or spinal disorders and related conditions.
“Funds raised support our charitable aims of research and education,” he said.
“In addition to the awe-inspiring displays, there will be play tables for visitors of all ages where you can engage with fellow LEGO enthusiasts, share tips and tricks, and be inspired by the endless possibilities of these iconic bricks.”
Attending the shows for the last two years, Amanda Rockstroh, husband Robert and toddler Nathan are looking forward to the upcoming event.
Amanda said she started building LEGO as a child and it had become a family hobby.
“I roped my husband into it and he became hooked after attending his first show,” she said.
“It feels wonderful to unleash your creativity and see how you can link worlds, I’m a Harry Potter buff and there’s something almost magical about building your very own Hogwarts Express or Star Wars scene.
“I would encourage everyone to attend because it’s such a good, fun day out.”
