MURDER, mystery, mayhem and romance – these are just some of the themes that this year’s Lebanese Film Festival features.

And you can get your annual cultural film fix in the safety and comfort of your own home with the online streaming platform, LFF On-Demand, live now until December 22.
Some of the festival’s highlights include ‘1982’ set amid the Israeli invasion of Lebanon and featuring the first love of an 11-year-old student whose teachers must mask their fears.
There’s ‘We Are From Here’, an award-winning documentary, about two Syrian brothers leaving everything behind except there passion for life, determination and sense of humour.
‘Wanted’ is a comedy about four elderly people who escape from their nursing home in the name of love and solidarity, while ‘Beirut Terminus’ explores the notions of borders, identity and belonging.
Other popular options in the line-up include ‘On the Footsteps of Christ’, ‘The Romey Lynchings’, ‘The Swimming Lesson’, ‘What’s Your Name’ and ‘Kinship’.
Lebanese Film Festival director Camille Lattouf says 2020 has been a challenging year for all, especially for those in Lebanon with the added complexities of political, social, economic and environmental upheavals.
“For the Lebanese Film Festival team, we have been determined to ensure the festival continues to bring residents their annual cinema offerings and are thrilled that the online streaming platform is now live,” he said.
