Equip boys for success now and into later lives

FOR the past decade, over 80 per cent of Birrong Boys High School’s graduating students have accessed the university course of their choice.

A testament to the exceptional growth in the key focus areas of reading and numeracy, staff maintain a dedicated focus on the development of the whole person and devise a range of programs to meet current and emerging needs.
Principal Darren Stevens said strong links with local primary schools saw them work collaboratively to ensure the transition to high school was a positive experience for students and parents, with strategies in place to maximise the education potential of each individual.
“We are also excited to see the outcome of our current building program,” he said.
“We are on track to open our new facilities in time for the commencement of the 2025 school year.
“This new structure will include the latest technology in the areas of Hospitality, Computing, Construction and Science.”
The school hall is also being updated and new sports facilities include all weather courts, gymnasium, weight training and a cardio studio which will all enhance the capacity of students in the area of PD/H/PE.
“Additionally, our support unit will receive a totally new facility to best meet the needs of our young men and help ensure they are equipped and on track to enjoy every success now and into the future,” Mr Stevens said.
