Italian comfort food at its best, options include Casarecce alla Norcina, a creamy fennel pork sausage with mushrooms, cream and truffles, homemade Gnocchi with four cheeses and all the favourite sauces like Arrabbiata (with chilli, parsley and garlic), Bolognese, Seafood, Napoletana and Boscaiola to name a few.
Owner and chef Daniel Mari says the ever popular handmade Squid Ink spaghetti is returning soon too and is one of his best sellers.
After winning a five-year place at Italy’s leading cooking school as a young man, Daniel went on to run a hugely successful restaurant in Ascoli Piceno near Rome.
Judged to have the best wood-fired pizza in Sydney in 2005, Daniel draws on his experience but is always coming up with great ideas to keep his menu fresh and exciting.
You can also choose from a delicious range of antipasti, the many pizza and pasta options, and mains plus amazing blackboard specials.
Along with a children’s menu, there is also a fantastic range of sides, salads and desserts like tiramisu, pana cotta, creme brulee, passionfruit cheesecake and chocolate tart, with everything made in-house from scratch and using only fresh, high quality ingredients.
Fully licensed with local and imported craft beer available, Daniel says alcohol can be included in your order with BYO wine an option if dining in.
“We open daily at 5.30pm,” he added.
“We have been inspected by the NSW Health Department and declared Covid-Safe plus we also sanitise every item and surface after each service.
“Guests are also registered upon arrival so everyone can have complete confidence dining back at Pikkio.”
