Eight rookies diving into local sea of blue

THE Police Force has welcomed 261 new probationary constables to its ranks – eight of whom have begun their roles at Bankstown Police station.

Class 337’ includes 176 policemen and 85 policewomen who will complete 12 months on-the-job training and study of the Associate Degree in Policing Practice by distance education with Charles Sturt University before being confirmed to the rank of constable.
Among those were Joshua Mason, Matthew Szombati, Joseph Ngo, Brendan Mcarthur, Chelsea Carter, Natasha Josikovic, Jack Steen and Andrew Ghajar, who have hit the beat in Bankstown.
NSW Police Commissioner Mick Fuller said that to uphold the values of the NSW Police Force, took hard work, dedication and commitment, and all these new officers had demonstrated they had the drive to succeed.
“I am proud to welcome our new recruits and wish them the very best as they begin work in their new communities,” he said.
