PACEMAN Liam Marshall (pictured) tore into the Parramatta first grade batsmen in front of their home crowd, taking 4 for 58.
The Eels made a solid start at the picturesque Old Kings Oval, with their openers laying a decent foundation before a few early wickets shared among the Bankstown bowlers.
Parramatta were all out for 247 in the 85th over and the Dogs went into bat as the sun started to fade over Parramatta Park, finishing the day one wicket down and with star opener Nick Carruthers at the crease with 30 not out.
