‘Eat from our best in own home’

WITH most clubs closing their doors since the lockdown got underway, cafes are busy with takeaway orders and a leading restaurant has pivoted its business model to recreate the fine dining experience at home.

Lugarno Seafood Restaurant has made its full menu available for takeaway – think fresh, beautiful seafood and chicken supreme dishes to slow roasted lamb, succulent grassfed eye fillet steak and homemade moussaka to name a few – and everything has been discounted by 10 per cent.
“If you’ve ever fancied eating food from one of Sydney’s best restaurants at home, now’s your chance,” a spokesperson said.

If you’re needing more spice in your life, a tangy Cajun-flavoured feed may do the trick.
Bankstown RSL’s Kickin’ Inn Restaurant is offering a takeaway service from 3-8pm daily, with home deliveries available on Menulog and 10 per cent off some of the most popular items, such as the Mixed Bag – a seafood feast that’s fit for a king.
Owner of The Local Espresso Bar in Georges Hall, Mitch, says his whole business model is focused on ‘takeaway’.
“We have halal, gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan snack and meal options and everything is made fresh daily including all the pastries,” he said.
Popular Apatha’s South Indian eatery in Panania, simply removed their two tables and have ramped up their takeaway service.
“We are happy to do home deliveries for bulk orders,” chef Nithya said.
With no additives, preservatives, MSG or yeast, dishes range from $7 to $15, and you can even pick up a small cup of soup (Rasam) for $2 and a larger cup for $5.
Yagoona’s Raw Prawn Fish Market manager Veena Soobroyen says the fish cocktails, prawns and special seafood salad are more popular than ever along with the battered oysters.
“We also offer home delivery through Uber Eats, Menulog and Doordash,” she said.
Panania Seafood is another eatery hauling in loads of takeaway orders.
Manager Lee says daily fresh lobster, oysters, Balmain bugs and prawns feature in many meal deals, with home delivery available on Menulog.
Picnic Point Bowling Club’s Pizza on Point is one of the few club’s offering takeaway from 4pm-9pm on Wednesdays to Sundays, with amazing pizzas available from just $8.
You can also still grab a piping hot coffee and order a beautiful cake to lift household spirits from Patisserie New York in Revesby.
