Easter surprises for special needs youth

AFTER safe-keeping over 200 donated Christmas gifts for children with special needs who could not attend the presentation event over Covid concerns late last year, Trilogy Foundation members decided it was a good opportunity to distribute them as an Easter surprise.

Trilogy president Maureen Agathocleous and publicity officer Glen Waud visited George Bass School, Wangee Park School and Padstow Park Public School (Special Education Unit) in the lead up to Easter and the school holidays, complete with their Santa sacks of goodies much to the delight of teachers and students.
“It was an honour for us to be able to do so and the schools were very happy to receive the new educational resources and toys for their students,” Maureen said.
“We want to thank the businesses and residents who donated the gifts last December to the Wishing tree at Entertainment Park in Milperra and at Quickstep next door.
“Your efforts were extremely generous and have put so many smiles on children’s faces.
“With nearly 500 children attending four special schools and other services in Canterbury Bankstown, the need to provide extra support after such a tough couple of years is great and your donations are hugely appreciated.”
