Drugs valued at $14m seized during unit raid

HEROIN, methamphetamine and cocaine worth $14 million have allegedly been discovered by police during a raid on a unit in Lidcombe last week.

The bust followed an investigation by Strike Force Lollback, which was formed in February to investigate the supply of large commercial quantities of prohibited drugs and related money laundering offences.
During the raid on the John Street unit last Monday, police allegedly located 12kg of heroin, 16kg of MDMA, 500grams of cocaine and other items relevant to the storage, packing and supply of prohibited drugs including a hydraulic press, three safes, money counters and mobile phones.
Later that day police also raided a home in Prestons where they allegedly seized mobile phones and approximately $60,000 in cash, before charging a 33-year-old man with two counts of supply prohibited drug – large commercial quantity and knowingly deal with proceeds of crime.
