Drug operation, lab shut down

A CLANDESTINE lab and alleged drug operation running out of a home in Lidcombe have been dismantled by police.

Three men were charged after strike force detectives and South West Metropolitan Region’s Regional Enforcement Squad raided the Eric Crescent house last night (Wednesday).
Police arrested two men aged 27 and 26 at the house about 6pm and allegedly located and seized approximately 30kg of suspected cannabis and items consistence with a clandestine lab in the kitchen.
The Drug and Firearms Squad Chemical Operations Unit, Technical and Forensic Support Unit, and NSW Fire & Rescue HAZMAT teams dismantled the lab.
Later that evening a Baulkham Hills property was raided by police, who allegedly located and seized approximately 50kg of suspected cannabis, six grams of a white powder substance believed to be cocaine and one gram of a brown crystal matter believed to be methylamphetamine, and arrested a 41-year-old man.
The three men were charged with supplying prohibited drug commercial quantity and participating in a criminal group.
All items seized will undergo further forensic examination.
