Driving lifelong learning

FOR 35 years Georges River Grammar has been dedicated to encouraging young people to love learning and to be part of a loving Christian community committed to lifelong learning.

Student learning and engagement has always been a big focus for the school and is a major part of the 2019-2022 Strategic Plan launched by Principal Raquel Charet at the beginning of the school year.
The plan was implemented after gathering feedback from the school board, staff, parents and students.
Through this proces, Georges River Grammar has restated the unique set of values and goals that define the school. These values include focusing on nurturing well-rounded, engaged learners; valuing teachers; and valuing the GRG community.
“At the centre of our strategy is a focus on student learning and engagement,” Ms Charet said.
“At GRG we recognise that it is not enough to wish for inspired, confident, resilient students.
“We have decided to be deliberate in designing education that will engage students in learning experiences relevant to success in the 21st century.
“This process has also given us our new motto, ‘Inspired to Learn, Committed to Serve’.
“This catchphrase reflects the importance we place on raising servant leaders – selfless young people committed to benefiting others, as well as providing an education that inspires our students to learn, to engage and to commit their lives to the good of all.”
Georges River Grammar offers an education for children from Kindergarten to Year 12, providing a unique nurturing experience throughout each student’s school journey.
