One driver returned a low range prescribed concentration of alcohol, while there were 99 infringement notices issued for various licence, traffic and load restraint offences and 109 defect notices issued by National Heavy Vehicle Regulators (NHVR), which was joined by police for the operation.
Further operations are planned to target and remove impaired drivers and unroadworthy trucks.
Drivers ‘drug positive’
