Performing with her dance partner from Stargazer Pole Studio, Deb Roach, who is a three-times international pole dancing champion in the disabled division, Emma came second in the People’s Choice, third in the Judge’s Choice and third in the Highest Fundraiser categories.
“I am so proud of my involvement in Stars of Western Sydney and thank the Cancer Council NSW for everything they do for our community,” Emma said.
“I have danced since childhood with the support and encouragement of my mum, a breast cancer survivor. I dedicated my dance to my mum and I hope I did her proud.”
A fun event, Stars brings together the Western Sydney community for a night of laughter and fundraising.
It features well known community members (or ‘Stars’) and each is paired with local dancers and dance schools to learn a dance routine in the name of entertainment.
Every year, in NSW alone, more than 36,600 new cases of cancer are expected to be diagnosed – about 100 each and every day in NSW.
