More than 1,500 Bulldogs’ fans have received the Bulldogs commemorative birth certificate, 200 more than any other club and even more than the State of Origin certificate.
Minister for Customer Service and Digital Government, Victor Dominello, said the NSW Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages (Registry) continued to grow its range of designs.
“More than 131,600 families have ordered a commemorative certificate since we launched in 2016, with over 1,500 Bulldogs fans showing their support,” Mr Dominello said.
“We know NSW footy fans were proud to put their love on paper when the Blues won the State of Origin with sales for the certificate spiking in 2019 and 2021.
“Whether you’re a new parent, a proud footy fan or want to send a special gift to a loved one, these certificates offer a unique way for people to celebrate a child’s birth.
“Families can look forward to more ease and convenience, with a Digital Birth Certificate to be introduced later this year.”
The current range includes Indigenous artwork, a Rainbow family design, the Chinese zodiac, NRL and Rugby Union teams, Australian Classics, baby handprints, May Gibbs illustrations, Peppa Pig and Giggle and Hoot.
Commemorative birth certificates can be obtained at any time for people of any age born or adopted in NSW.
