More than 18,000 people will pack the Hill and Grandstand at Belmore Sports Ground on Sunday afternoon for what promises to be a thrilling double-header.
First up in NSW Cup, a crucial top of the table clash between the Bulldogs (currently sat in 3rd) and the Raiders (2nd) will unfold from 1.45pm. The squad will look to carry on form from a dominant win over the first-placed Bears last week and will be relying on crowd support to help cheer them through another tough fixture this week.
Then the Bulldogs NRL squad will run out to face the Canberra Raiders as they fiercely defend their home-ground in attempt to remain undefeated at home in 2024. With the Raiders currently sat just outside the top eight and the Bulldogs battling for their first finals series since 2016, it is sure to be a highly competitive clash.
The two games coming to Belmore will also mark the NRL’s Women In League Round – a round which celebrates the women playing crucial roles at every level of the Rugby League community, from executives, to head coaches, and on field talent, inspiring the next generation on our fields and screens each week.
Playing at the family friendly times of 1.45pm and 4.05pm with a large number of activities planned, it is sure to be an enjoyable afternoon for all.
With thousands of Blue and White faithful getting ready to pack the stands and the hill, patrons are being urged to plan their trip in advance and to arrive to early to avoid delays at the gate.
