Introduced in 1930 as the Fred Flowers Memorial Pennant, the Club Championship is awarded to the xlub with the highest aggregate points at the conclusion of competition rounds.
The Bulldogs enjoyed strong competition results across both the male and female competitions in 2023, with four teams reaching a grand final.
The Tarsha Gale Cup and Harvey Norman Women’s Premiership teams each reached the grand finals but were narrowly defeated in tight contests, while the Harold Matthews Cup and Jersey Flegg squads each won their respective titles, with the Harold Matthews team enjoying a runaway 32-6 win over Newcastle Knights, and the Jersey Flegg team earning a 22-20 victory over the Sydney Roosters.
Bulldogs Chairman John Khoury said the club has heavily invested in growing and strengthening its Bulldogs Academy pathway programs, and it was an honour to receive this award.
“I am extremely proud of all of our team’s efforts in 2023 and an award such as this speaks volumes to the future of the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs,” he said.
