Dog saved from burning home

Fire and Rescue crews have extinguished a house fire at Georges Hall late this morning.

The blaze started in the rear of the property on Henry Lawson Drive, just before midday.
There was no-one inside but a dog was removed from the scene by a neighbour before fire crews arrived.
Acting Superintendent Mathew Sigmund from Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) said this is a timely reminder that calling Triple Zero (000) for a fire emergency can be the difference between life and death, or a building or other property being saved or destroyed.
