The rider, a man in his 60s, was taken to hospital, while the driver, a 29-year-old woman, underwent mandatory testing.
Police are also seeking any witnesses who were in or near the roundabout at Chiswick and Chisholm roads, Auburn, between 5-5.30pm to come forward.
