Police blitz results in six drug arrests

Inner West Police conducted a Dial-a-Dealer operation on Saturday, January 4, targeting drug supply and distribution in the Newtown area.
About 10.15pm, they allegedly observed a man enter a black Mazda within a carpark of a fast food restaurant before the car drove towards King Street. Shortly after, the man exited the vehicle and ran towards Newtown train station where he was stopped by police.
Upon searching the man, aged 41, police allegedly located a small bag containing cocaine.
The Drummoyne man was issued a Future Court Attendance Notice.
The Mazda was then observed travelling towards Erskineville when police stopped the car on the corner of Erskineville Road and Railway Parade.
A male driver and male passenger were removed from the vehicle and subsequently searched by police. The passenger was allegedly found to have a plastic bag with several smaller bags containing approximately 6.2g cocaine allegedly concealed in his pants. Police also found a small amount of cash.
The 30-year-old passenger, from Revesby, was charged with custody of a knife in a public place, dealing with proceeds of crime (money/property) and two counts of supplying a prohibited drug.
The driver, from Punchbowl, was charged with taking part in supplying a prohibited drug.
In a separate incident, police spoke with a 48-year-old man sitting inside a Volkswagon Golf after he was observed yelling at a woman on Station Street, Newtown.
Upon searching the man and the vehicle, officers allegedly located an amount of heroin and suspected stolen goods.

The man, from Guildford, was issued a Future Court Attendance Notice for the offences of goods in custody suspected to be stolen or unlawfully obtained and possession of drugs.
About 11.20pm, police observed a second interaction in a carpark of a fast food restaurant in Newtown, between a group of males.
Officers spoke with a 23-year-old man within the bathroom of the restaurant and allegedly located a glass pipe and 1.78g of methylamphetamine.
A second man, aged 21 from Petersham, was arrested nearby and charged with supplying a prohibited drug.
The Wolli Creek man, 23, was charged with self-administer/attempt self-administer prohibited drug and possessing a prohibited drug.
