Berala is a bit of a drive from suburbs likes Campsie, Hurstville and Brighton-Le-Sands but that doesn’t stop Nev and Jason Aslan’s loyal customers from making the trek to Berala Kebab House on a daily basis – often just to enjoy a bowl of their delicious lentil, chicken or lamb soup.
Soups keep you hydrated and can also help you stave off cold and flu, with chicken soup in particular helping to prevent the common cold, especially when it’s loaded up with fresh garlic, onions, celery and carrots.
Lentil and lamb soups are rich in vitamins, minerals and fibre too, without the fat or cholesterol, and Jason says his customers are keen for soup at breakfast, lunch and dinner.
“Our customers queue up in the morning to get our Turkish tea and a filling soup which is served with bread and pickles,” he said.
Jason says their older fans love their classic fish and chips for lunch as well as the gozleme made fresh daily.
He says their popular shish kebabs are not only the highest quality but the most affordable too.
“Our customers tell us they are the best in Sydney,” he said.
Also on the menu are plenty of succulent charcoal chicken dishes, delicious burgers, pizzas with free garlic bread, Turkish pides and homemade baklava.
The team is also happy to discuss catering options and is open seven days a week from 6am to 9pm.
