Dami on song at World Music in Park concert

SINGING sensation Dami Im will be the star attraction at World Music in the Park, which kicks off in Griffith Park, Bankstown, this Saturday, August 13.

The ARIA chart-topping singer who captivated Australia when she won the fifth season of The X Factor Australia, will be joined by Cummbiamuffin – a 15-piece south American band with horns, drums and saxophones, and Worlds Collide – a hip-hop fusion band featuring refugees and First Nations performers, in a spectacular celebration of the “city’s vibrant multicultural community”.
Bring your dancing shoes, along with your family and friends, for a picnic in the park where you’ll be entertained by world class performers from 2-5pm.
There’ll be plenty of food available nearby, but feel free to BYO picnic goodies, picnic blanket and seating – all in a Covid-safe environment.
Canterbury Bankstown Mayor Khal Asfour says he’s hoping to see locals as well as those who’ve travelled from around Sydney.
“Come along and listen to some great music, support our small businesses and make a day of it,” he said.
“It’s a great way to really enjoy our vibrant City and spoil yourself with delicious food and free entertainment. I’ll see you there.”
