Customers can take Santa selfie

THE ideal one-stop shopping hub in Sydney’s south-west, the newly refurbished Lidcombe Shopping Centre has everything under one roof and can always be relied on for last-minute gift ideas and high-quality, fresh food grocery items.

But now there are even more reasons to make sure the shopping destination is at the top of your list with a ‘Santa’s Breakfast’ on offer on Saturday, December 19, from 9am (bookings essential, cost $10) as well as a synthetic Ice-Skating rink debuting for the young while mum and dad shop from December 18-24, 10am-2pm (cost $5).
“Proceeds from both will be donated to Beyond Blue as we feel it is incredibly important to give back at this time of year,” a centre spokesperson said.
With the Gift Giving Tree campaign launching on December 14, shoppers are invited to grab a gift tag off the tree which will say if it’s for a male or female and the age.
“Then our shopper can buy a small gift and drop it into our centre management, along with the gift tag and we will wrap it and then pass onto the Salvation Army for distribution to a needy, local family,” the spokesperson said.
There is also a gift-wrapping station for shoppers on offer from December 18-24 for a gold coin donation.
No Christmas is complete without a photo with Santa and this year, he and his elves will be meeting and greeting shoppers at the centre from December 18-24, with families encouraged to take their own selfies with him and make this festive season an extra memorable one.
