Crisis relief cash of $50,000

A TOTAL of $50,000 will be put aside each year under new Emergency Relief Fund (ERF) Guidelines adopted by Cumberland Council.

Under the new ERF guidelines, funding will be available for one-off donations to crisis or disaster fundraisers, as well as new community-led initiatives that address an emerging or unexpected community need where action is time critical.
Not-for-profit organisations, including registered charities and auspicing organisations, will be eligible to apply under two funding streams, with councillors required to approve any application by a resolution of council.
ERF applications under the donations funding stream, are for strictly unforeseen circumstances and will need to identify the need and outline a connection to the Cumberland community.
