Created popular imaging practice in Greater Western Sydney’s heart

Part of the Crystal Radiology group which spans 18 practices across Australia, Auburn Radiology Managing Director Shahid Chaudhary says it made perfect sense to establish an Auburn service since it is so central in the Greater Sydney area.
Offering first class premises, equipment and staff, the team is constantly redefining best practice to consistently deliver imaging excellence, with highly trained radiologists in all diagnostic specialties.
Services include an X-ray (radiograph), a special image that uses radiation to create 2D pictures of bones and internal tissues such as lungs and organs, Ultrasound, where high frequency sound waves are used to create pictures of soft tissues and organs, and CT Scan (Computerised Tomography) also called a ‘CAT’ scan which obtains images from different angles.
Injection or interventional radiology is also on offer to treat various conditions as are dental x-rays which allow a dentist to look for impacted teeth, monitor growth and development of the jaws to identify potential problems.
With all procedures bulk-billed and heavily discounted for international students and visitors, Shahid said they had noticed an increase in demand for chest X-rays and CTs during the pandemic.
“If local residents have any concerns, they can chat with their GP and get a referral to us; we offer same-day processing of results,” he said.
