Crazy Hair, Sock day to aid sick children

BRINGING extra colour to their game earlier this month, Parramatta Auburn Netball Association (PANA) coaches, umpires and players took part in a ‘Crazy Hair and Sock’ day (pictured) to raise funds for The Kids Cancer Project.

PANA President Vicki Newby said they were happy to throw their support behind the national independent charity supporting childhood cancer research.
“PANA is a family netball association, with many on Wyatt Park having large families and the support we can give, also touches our members,” she said.
“We all had fun taking part in the day with loads of gold coin donations, some younger players even broke into their piggy banks.
“Although not thousands donated, we hope our donation makes a difference for children in the future.”
PANA will celebrate their Association’s 70th anniversary on Saturday, August 31, with special events including a cake-cutting ceremony.
