Having lived in the Canterbury Bankstown district all their lives and in Panania for over 57 years, the retired high school teachers have also been active volunteers in their community throughout their marriage. They have two children, Susan and David, six grandchildren, Sarah-Jane, Matthew, Luke, Clare, Lucy and Scott, and two great grandchildren, John and Matilda.
Susan said they had been stable touch points for family and friends for the last six decades.
“The secret to their successful marriage, is to both always check in with their feelings and continue to communicate them to each other with kindness and love,” she said.
Couple celebrate 60th wedding anniversary
