Country fighting city for Origin selection

FEATURING Bankstown fighters Ziad El Choufi and Emmanuel Shameza training out of Hardcore Gym and Revesby’s Daniel Milosovic training out of Villawood’s Punch On Boxing, fight promoter Neutral Corner has a huge tournament on Saturday, March 14, at Arena Sports Club Yagoona.

“Over that weekend we will be looking after about 40 country fighters and their teams; the country people have had it tough in the past year with bushfires, drought and floods, and we are going to liven up and put some fun in there lives and continue on with this annual event that got underway last March,” Neutral Corner’s Paul Nasari said.
In up to 25 block-buster bouts, country people that will take on the city’s best and will travel from as far as Orange, Albury, Tamworth, Wollongong and Newcastle, just to name a few.
“And out of this, a NSW State of Origin boxing team will be chosen to take on the Queenslanders later in the year at the same venue.”
In the main event of the night, there will be a cracking fight in the 71kg division – Anton Markovic from Bondi who will re-match with Zeke Campbell from Wollongong.
The action starts from 4pm and should finish by 9.30pm, with tickets on sale now.
