Part of Vicinity Community Grants, it is aimed at empowering local community groups to deliver programs and initiatives that strengthen community resilience and connectedness.
Bankstown Central Centre Manager Eddie Paynter said the grants would enable local community groups to develop and deliver programs, events and initiatives that “strengthen our great community”.
“We’re looking forward to seeing the positive impact these grants will have on our community and are excited to continue building stronger connections with these important groups,” Mr Paynter said.
The grants program is focused on four key areas – youth engagement and youth underemployment, environmental rejuvenation, education, and community well-being, and applications close on April 30.
