Come, try netball day with free gift for girls, boys on Saturday

NEARLY 2,000 girls aged five years and older will be registering to play netball at one of Bankstown City Netball Association’s (BCNA) 11 clubs during the next two months ahead of the season opening on April 6.

Bankstown Sports Netball Club Secretary Michelle Boulais says netball is a hobby and sport you can enjoy for life.
Playing for the club as well as in an indoor competition with her two grown-up daughters, Michelle says there is nothing like netball for keeping you fit and happy.
“It’s fun, you make friends, improve health and it gets you exercising in the fresh air and off your phone or the couch,” she said.
With about 25 already registered, Michelle said they enjoyed membership last season of over 200 and fielded 20 teams with 16 competitive, 13 making the semi finals, five making the grand finals and four securing the grand final win.
“We certainly had a successful season and looking forward to seeing whether we can do it all again this year,” she said.
There will be a free Come and Try netball day for girls and boys at Deverall Park in Condell Park this Saturday, February 10, 9am-12pm.
Your child can pick up some new skills and grow in confidence as well as receiving a free gift.
Bankstown City Netball Association Phase 2 Representative Trial dates will be held at Mt St Joseph High School, Milperra, on February 27 (15s and 17s) and February 29 (13s and 14s) from 6pm and March 2 (12s) and March 9 (Year 11 development) from 8.30am.
