Come ‘Back to Guildford’ for fun

THOUSANDS took to the streets of Guilford on Saturday to explore its new upgrades at the free family friendly Back to Guildford Festival.

The upgrades focused on making public spaces feel safer and more inclusive for residents and visitors, especially women.
Works include a vibrant public art mural, as well as an upgraded laneway design, featuring new street furniture with tables and benches, installation of smart technology, lighting, CCTV cameras and convenient mobile phone charging stations.
Cumberland Mayor Lisa Lake said the council was committed to making public spaces feel safer and more inclusive for residents and visitors to Cumberland.
