Cocaine, MDMA, cannabis, Valium and $240,000 cash seized

TWO people have been charged after drugs and over $240,000 cash was allegedly located during a vehicle stop in Lidcombe yesterday.

About 4pm, Auburn Police were patrolling the Lidcombe area as part of an ongoing investigation, when they stopped a Toyota Corolla travelling on Joseph Street.
After speaking with the driver, a 25-year-old woman, police searched the vehicle and allegedly located and seized $241,600 in cash stored in a safe. They also allegedly seized cocaine and a knife.
Soon after a home on Bachell Avenue, Lidcombe, was raided by police who allegedly seized cocaine, MDMA, cannabis and Valium, and arrested the 28-year-old male resident, who was charged with three counts of supply prohibited drug – indictable quantity, supply prohibited drug, and possess prohibited drug, while the woman was charged with recklessly deal with proceeds of crime greater than $5000, supply prohibited drug, and custody of a knife in a public place.
