While a NSW Health spokesperson stressed that testing is free for everyone in NSW and a medicare card is not required to get a test, there are concerns that some private clinics have been charging for the tests with the Review shown copies of receipts paid by two non-residents.
However the spokesperson said the issue “has been addressed by NSW Health and reimbursements were being arranged”.
