Clubs at celebration to mark season’s top

THEY didn’t even have a home ground last year but that has not stopped Bankstown Sports Stars Football Club being named the ‘Club Championship’ winner at Bankstown District Amateur Football Association’s (BDAFA) awards night (pictured) earlier this month.

Club president Frank Fruci thanked the members, coaches, managers, volunteers and parents for making their dream possible again after first being name ‘Club Championship’ winner in 2020.
“Thanks also to the club’s Volunteer of the Year, Anthony Hanna whose dedication and passion are truly commendable,” he said.
“We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our generous sponsors, Bankstown Sports Club, Urbanista Cafe & Convenience, LJ Hooker Bankstown, IQPlumbing.net.au and RFMDesignerProjects.com.au.
“We look forward to working with you all in the 2024 season.”
Bankstown District Amateur Football Association (BDAFA) General Manager Leanne Millar said the presentation evening was a wonderful opportunity to recognise hard-working volunteers, excellent referees and top players.
“With the summer football competition now almost full, except for a few 10/11 girls spots available, we look forward to our next season in 2024,” she said.
